Makenzie (Mak) Johnson
Mak Johnson is 24 years old and has lived in Indiana his entire life. He graduated from Eastern-Greene High School in 2007. He began fencing at age 18 when he took his first fencing class at Indiana University. He stuck with it and was eventually hired to teach the fencing courses at Indiana University starting in the spring of 2010. Mak competes at a high level in the national circuit—his honors include winning both the spring 2013 Purdue open and the 2013 Indiana national qualifier. When he is not fencing, he enjoys spending time with his mother, Tammy Johnson, playing video games, and traveling.
