9-week Bloomington Fencing Club (BFC) Summer Session
BEGINS MONDAY, JUNE 2 – WEEKLY ON MONDAY THROUGH JULY 28
There will be no coached classes—open fencing only. Arrangements can be made directly with a coach (Andrew or Mak) for individual lessons (at fencer’s expense).
WHERE: Boys and Girls Club of Bloomington
311 S Lincoln (across from police station)
Mondays 7:00 – 9 pm
Option 1: $10 “floor fee” payable for each night you choose to fence. Pay with cash (exact change only) or check. No family discount for floor fees.
Option 2: $70 for all 9 sessions, payable at the first session. Additional family members: $60. No refunds for skipped sessions.
Parents of young fencers please note: Because these are open fencing meetings, fencers are expected to be responsible for conducting themselves safely. While a BFC adult fencer will be present, he may also be fencing or conducting lessons, so it is possible that fencers will not always be directly supervised. While all of our fencers have been instructed in correct safety procedures and fencing technique, we encourage parents especially of younger fencers to remain on site to help us have an extra set of eyes on the training.
As always, USA Fencing membership is required to fence. Current USA Fencing membership expires on July 31 so current BFC members are covered. If you have not previously fenced with BFC you must bring proof of USA Fencing membership (your member card or a copy of your receipt) to be allowed to fence. No exceptions.
Some experience is necessary to fence at BFC over the summer. If you are interested in fencing but have not taken a beginners class, you must arrange for an introduction from one of our coaches to participate. An extra fee will apply. Contact us at email@example.com to make arrangements.
Dates: June 2, 9, 16, 23, 30
July 7, 14, 21, 28
